Laura Miller, DVM/Owner
Dr. Miller graduated from Michigan State University in 2009. She worked at a few other veterinary clinics as an associate veterinarian until she purchased Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Schrauben in July 2015.
Since then, the clinic has updated all its equipment, and also had a much-needed face-lift bringing the clinic up to 21st century medicine. Dr. Miller’s passions in veterinary medicine are Dentistry, Dermatology, Multi-modal Pain Management, and lastly but MOST IMPORTANTLY Fear-Free examinations. She enjoys finding out what helps patients reduce their fear and stress while in the hospital as well as at home!
At home, Dr. Miller shares her home with 3 dogs, 4 cats and her husband James. She enjoys being in the outdoors with her camera, swimming in her pool and hiking in the wilderness at her cabin. She also plays a mean game of euchre and is known to venture into video games during what little free time she has left!
Andrea, Practice Manager
I began working at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic in March of 2015. I really enjoyed being a part of the large transition as the clinic underwent complete remodel. Watching the clinic grow and evolve has been amazing. I was promoted to Practice Manager in 2019. Some of the favorite parts of my job include client education, nutrition talks and finding ways to help the clinic run smoothly. Organization is also a big favorite of mine. When I am not at work, my boyfriend Kyle and I enjoy spending time outdoors either fishing, ice fishing or out on a golf course. We have 2 dogs, Bella and Cici and 2 cats, Kitten and Izzie.
Kendra, Office Manager
My journey at Arbor Hills began in August of 2021. I am a bibliophile and love spending time with my husband and two children. I also enjoy camping, art and going on adventure walks with my mastiffs, Leonidas and Baloo.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians
I graduated from Baker College of Jackson in May of 2019 from their Veterinary Technician Program. I started working at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic in October of 2017. I’ve always had a love for animals, and I love that I get to work with them every day. The dog breeds that pull on my heart strings are Boxers, Labradors and Pitbulls. I have a yellow Labrador at home named Otis and he is 5 years old. I also have a Pitbull mix named Bruce and he is 3 years old. They are both full of energy and I couldn’t imagine life without them. I am also married to my husband Nolan and in our spare time we like to go camping and hang out with our family.
I graduated from Baker College of Jackson in 2010. Prior to graduation, I was a vet assistant for 5 years. Four years after graduation, I changed careers and starting working at a shop where I stayed for 8 years. Now, I am utilizing my degree as an LVT here at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic where I found happiness again. At home, I have Nalla who I rescued 7 years ago. My fur baby, family time and praising God always puts a smile on my face.
My name is Kheyarah and I have been working at Arbor Hills since October 2021. I am attending Adrian College as a pre-veterinary student. I have three dogs, two cats and two horses. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, fishing, and horseback riding and playing with my dogs.
Veterinary Pet Care Specialists
I went to Michigan State for a degree in Zoology, and I bleed green. This is my second transfer of power here at the clinic. I was here when Dr. Schrauben took over from Dr. Acton and now as the baton has been passed to Dr. Miller.
The new office computer and I are currently in a love/hate relationship due to my having little prior experience. Slowly, but surely, however, we are finding a way to co-exist.
When not working, I listen to selections from a large music collection, watch movies from an even larger DVD collection, and annoy my cat. I am also addicted to word puzzles. I’m the first of 3 born in my family on Christmas day.
Interesting facts about Debbie:
- Hometown: Jackson, MI.
- First of 3 born in family on Christmas day
I am Rachelle and I began working at Arbor Hills in September 2021. I am studying animal behavior at Michigan State University. I plan to use that knowledge to rescue animals in the future and to someday open my own animal rescue. I currently have 3 dogs and 4 cats and want to have more someday.
Digital Marketing/Social Media Coordinator
Tiahna, Digital Coordinator and Marketing
I began working again at Arbor Hills in March of 2022 after moving back to Michigan. I was promoted to Digital Coordinator shortly afterwards and run our social media accounts, advertising, and our smart phone application that we implemented into our clinic in Spring 2022.
My family consists of my boyfriend Berry, two kids Izabella and Branten, our two dogs (Miko and Yoshi,) our two cats (Bruno and Spooky,) and our mini rex rabbit (Ragnar.) We love to play video games together, go down to the lake, and cuddle up on the couch for movie nights.
I have been a part of Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic since 2017. I was found curled up laying in a client’s yard, was brought here and AHVC took over my care. I was SUPPOSED to go to the shelter, but everyone here fell in love with me and I have been here ever since. I love ordering everyone around, napping, and running away from all of the dogs.
I came to Arbor Hills in 2016. I love lounging around, eating all of the food, and yowling when I’m not fed immediately. I also don’t leave my half of the clinic unless I’m going to cause mayhem, which I usually also leave a trail of my white hair wherever I may have been.
