Dr. Laura Miller, DVM/CEO/Owner
Living my dream is the name of my game and I would love to share my expertise with you! As a private owner of Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic, I get to work in a great environment that I have cultured. I practice the medicine style I want to and am not forced to follow the ways of the corporate practices, which are becoming very abundant. My approach to veterinary medicine is a proactive approach. I would much rather prevent a problem than find a problem and have to react to the pet’s ailments. I do this by helping to educate clients and my team. If my client’s understand and know what to expect and my employees can watch for signs that are concerning and report to me, then I can efficiently help that animal. I often get a thank you from my clients for spending that extra time to explain everything. So please if you don’t know or don’t understand I would love to hear from you so we can clear up any confusion! When I am not practicing veterinary medicine I am enjoying my time with my husband and a plethora of animals. I can be found delving into the dungeons of nerdy video games, outside playing with my animals, swimming or taking a hike with my phone as a camera or occasionally will dust off that Nikon in the closet. I also volunteer time to the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association as a board member and help other veterinarians in my district stay on top of the current news and debates.

Dr. Andrea Hall, DVM
Dr. Andrea Hall graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and her special interests are surgery and dentistry. She is married with two kids and four cats.
Management

Kendra, VP Operations
As Vice President of Operations, I am responsible for the financial functions at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic. You can also catch my smiling face at the front desk from time to time. My love for animals, big and small, and fondness of numbers led to my career here. I went from being just a client, bringing my mastiffs and kitties here, to joining a hilarious and amazing work team.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians

Jeanette, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jeanette graduated from Baker College in 2013 and she spent most of her career working in the ER. Jeanette is looking forward to caring for pets in the community and building lasting relationships. Jeanette is married and has three children. When Jenette is at home she enjoys beach days, nature walks and spending time with her family. Jeanette has a German Shepherd named Eva, and three cats and two guinea pigs.

Melissa, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Melissa grew up in Port Huron, but moved to Jackson last year. Melissa loves to play video games and go kayaking in her spare time. She has one mixed breed dog and two crested geckos. Melissa says, “I am happy to be part of the team at AHVC.”
Veterinary Assistants
Emma, Veterinary Assistant
It has been my lifetime dream to work with animals. Having grown up on a farm, my passion has always revolved around all thing’s animals. From a young age, horses have had my heart and have inspired me to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. My long-term goal is to attend Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy hunting, fishing, running, and spending time with my dog, Pupperson. I am excited to have the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge from the team at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic.

Reegan, Veterinary Assistant
Currently, Reegan is attending Baker College: Vet Tech Program. Since Reegan was 18, she has been in the vet field striving to learn as much knowledge about animals as possible. Reegan loves to watch movies, being on the water, and hanging out with family and friends. Reegan has one dog, whom is deaf and two kitties.
Client Service Representatives

Tiahna, Client Services Liaison
Growing up there were two things I knew for certain, I loved animals beyond measure and I loved creating. There is not a single movie, show, cartoon or anything that doesn’t make my tears well up with love, happiness, or sadness when it involves animals.
Working at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic has enabled me to be able to pursue two monumental parts of my being. I get to care for animals, educate clients on their pet’s health needs, constantly learn new developments in veterinary medicine, and love our patients from day 1. I also get to create social media marketing material, run our smartphone application, travel to community events to promote our high-quality care and commitment to our patients and speak/greet clients as they come through our doors. I wear many hats here between helping as a veterinary assistant, being a receptionist, running a smartphone application, creating AHVC marketing materials, and so much more. One of the best things about AHVC is that we offer our clients and patients the latest veterinary medicine knowledge, modern technology (testing, diagnostics, lab work, etc.) and mindsets, and a sterile, clean clinic.
I’m not here for a paycheck, I’m here for my career that I love, to constantly evolve as veterinary medicine does, and to hold a special spot in my heart for each and every patient I get the privilege of helping care for.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” — Steve Jobs

Kelly, Client Service Representative
I have background in customer service, and health care. Combined with my love and appreciation for animals, my previous work experiences have provided me with the foundation on which to build new experiences in the field of animal care as a Customer Service Receptionist. I enjoy connecting with clients and their pets and value being part of the dynamic team at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic. In my spare time away from the office I love being a grandma, to 7 wonderful grandkids who participate in many sporting events. Where you will find me cheering in the stands.
Kennel Attendants

Lance, Lead Kennel Attendant
From growing up on a farm to living in the city, I have always cared for animals and invested in bettering their futures. I came up being captivated by animal documentaries, volunteering for animal shelters and pet adoption days, caring for my own pets, and petsitting for those around me. My favorite experience has been mentoring at the Wolf Lake Stare Fish Hatchery and learning about the fishery program. While seeking education, I studied biology and environmental science as I have always felt a connection to the field. I also dabbled in photography and enjoy trying to mash these connections together.
While here at Arbor Hills, I will strive to provide the best experience for you and your animals, including the boarding experience they have while you are away. Please let me know how we can best serve your family during their stay with us.
While not at AHVC I enjoy being out in nature or in the water with my partner and family of animals, including dogs, cats, leopard geckos, and corn snake, listening to music and dancing, taking pictures and helping with photo shoots, and now learning about the veterinary field.

Makayla, Kennel Attendant
I am currently a high school student at Western High School, and I work as a Kennel Attendant at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic. As a high school student, I feel so fortunate that I have the opportunity to work in a place where their goal is to help animals. I have always been an animal lover and I currently have 5 cats, 2 cocker spaniels and a tortoise. My goal at Arbor Hills is to learn as much about animals and their health as possible. I want to eventually go to Michigan State University to become a veterinary technician and work with animals for as long as I can. I’ve always wanted to work with animals since I was very young, and I’m so thankful for this amazing opportunity.

Emily, Kennel Attendant
Emily went to Northwest High School. She is working at Arbor Hills Veterinary Clinic because she loves animals and she’s always dreamed of working at a veterinary clinic. She hopes to one day go to school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In her free time she enjoys going out in nature, spending time with her family, and loves cats and horses.

Dakota, Kennel Attendant
Dakota is a high school student who is starting to focus on his career future. Dakota wanted to come work for Dr. Miller to observe and gain experience to help guide his decision to one day commit himself to one of the most rewarding fields, veterinary medicine. You will see him helping in boarding, making sure all the pets are well loved and cared for.
